Barack Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder described the United States Wednesday as a nation of cowards on matters of race. In doing so, he appeals to white guilt saying they are “uncomfortable.”

I’m white and I don’t feel any guilt about what Holder said. What he said is true. Anyone who suspects and then resents, for whatever reason, that Holder was trying to make people feel guilty about this truth should take one look back at all the right-wing blabbering after Hurricane Katrina. Right-Wing awareness of The Lower Ninth Ward before Katrina was nil. Afterward, all the right could write about was how lazy the black people were and how they expected handouts from the government. You can deny it all you want. What Holder said was true. You are afraid to admit that you are racist.
Ummm – Gustav – let me see if I can get this straight.
Orlando (or the Ft. Hard Knox staff? or the political right? Who are you addressing, exactly?) is/are racist and afraid to admit it, as evidenced by the fact that someone (you didn’t list anyone specific) criticized black people after Hurricane Katrina for being lazy?
Do you have any idea how much sense that does NOT make?
