You know what I wish we had? A place for conservatives to go online and learn about social networking, and blogging, and search engine optimization, and how to be more effective online. That would be AWESOME!!

Oh, wait...

I certainly understand older people who don't own a computer. However, emails to americanteaparty.com, presumably, originate from a computer. The backbone of the Democrat Party is younger and more in tune with new media. We have to figure out how to get more people on board. Right now we are at a huge disadvantage.

Well said, Ron, and I couldn't agree with you more about the need for conservatives to become more willing to use social media.

However - my parents, who are in their late 70's, and don't even have a computer are planning to attend this thing, and will probably be bringing friends. If anyone is seriously using the fact that, "I don't feel comfortable with Facebook," for an excuse...well, they just really need help I'm not qualified to give.

I noticed on the tea party site that they're getting complaints from people because they don't want to use facebook. That does not bode well for our cause. If conservatives refuse to get involved in social media we are in real trouble. You can't eschew real time or near real time communication and hope to compete.
