Hi, Noah, my Facebook Friend! Good to see you here on FHK.

I’m not sure there’s a real comparison between Twitter and Facebook, except for the fact that they’re both social networks, and potential time sinks.

Twitter is more of a live we bulletin service – much like the old fashioned telegraph and small-town party lines. Facebook is more of a comprehensive network. Facebook can integrate with Twitter, which is good for fans of both.

I’d encourage to take another look at Twitter, however, one of these days when you’re feeling adventurous. It has changed a lot. Start with going HERE. It’s pretty fun.

I’m not impressed with the quality of people on twitter. facebook offers so much more diversity and the twitter community is pretty much everything that is wrong with “libertarian” absolutes. it’s infrastructure is not the best platform. twitter’s exposure mainly comes from recognition from left wing media, API tyranny and monopolistic practices. I’m very happy with an indie RSS that feeds right into friendfeed. twitter is just not a comfortable network. It’s mailing system is poor. It has been historically buggy and weak… and does little as far as security. the fact that facebook recognizes my college ID keeps me from creating multiple accounts. we are not missing out on anything. facebook’s RSS can be made public too now.
