		<description>No organization can be succcessful online without other sites/blogs linking to it.  If everyone would just boycott the A.P., they&#039;d go off into oblivion where they belong. 

But no! Instead, I and a handful of other bloggers like me have taken a considerable amount of heat from the members of the blogging community for adhering to our policy of &lt;a href=&quot;http://forthardknox.com/2008/07/01/boycott-the-ap/&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;not linking to or quoting A.P. stories&lt;/a&gt;. The prevailing wisdom seems to be that it&#039;s impossible not to use link to the A.P. on a regular basis - not true.  There are plenty of other news sources out there, and except for the need to occassional criticize the obvious left-leaning bias or general incompetence of the organization, there is really no need to pay the A.P. to quote its reports.</description>
