Stalin’s Grandson Sues Newspaper For Painting His Gran’Pappy As An A-hole Tyrant

The humanity!

MOSCOW (Reuters) – Josef Stalin was in the dock on Monday when a Russian court held a preliminary hearing in a libel case brought by his grandson over a newspaper story which said the tyrant had ordered the killings of Soviet citizens.
Rights groups say the case shows a creeping attempt in modern Russia to paint a more benevolent picture of the Soviet Union’s most feared leader, under whose rule millions perished.
Stalin’s grandson, Yevgeny Dzhugashvili, is seeking 9.5 million roubles ($299,000) from the Novaya Gazeta newspaper and 500,000 roubles from the author of an article published last April claiming Stalin personally signed politburo death orders.Leonid Zhura, a convinced Stalinist who is representing Dzhugashvili in court, said that the article — based on declassified Kremlin documents — damaged Stalin’s reputation.
“Half a century of lies have been poured over Stalin’s reputation and he cannot defend himself from the grave so this case is essential to put the record straight,” said Zhura.
“We want to rehabilitate Stalin,” he told Reuters. “He turned populations into peoples, he presided over a golden era in literature and the arts, he was a real leader.”
Robert Gibbs has announced that Obama is en route to Dzhugashvil’s home to issue an apology…Then there’s this…

Scripture, Read at the Funeral of Edward Kennedy (Graphic Image Warning)
August 31, 2009 by Arlen Williams
Scripture from this passage was delivered, toward the beginning of the memorial service
“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
“Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
“Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’
“Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’
Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’
And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
A telling coincidence: this contains the Scripture quoted by the audacity of Barack Obama, approximately one year ago, at the Saddleback Forum, where he skirted the question, “When does life begin?”
Life begins with the least of these, my brethren.
Hidden Love for the UAW in Obama Health Care Bill
August 31, 2009 by Jack Givens
If the current House Health Bill passes, the rest of us will be sending billions to the UAW to support union retirees. It is unbelievable that these politicians are so comfortable with taking our money and giving it to their supporters. Since when did these union retires rate more than other hardworking Americans that have lost huge in this down turn? I just hope we wake up soon.

David Barton, of WallBuilders, describes how the Oministry is breaking down our religious freedoms before our eyes, in a well-documented, 13-page white paper entitled The White House Attack on Religion Continues: Repealing Conscience Protection.
Barton explains stepst that have already been taken by the current administration, including eliminating the faith-based section of the White House website, changing the policy regarding hiring practices by faith-based organizations, including restrictions on stimulus funds to higher education institutions that allow religious activities on their campuses, reducing tax breaks for charitable giving, and a recent announcement that it plans to repeal “conscience protection” for health care workers who refuse to participate in abortions.

Sex Slave in California
August 29, 2009 by Phyllis Chesler

He kidnapped her and kept her as his sex slave. When she was not sexually servicing him, she “lived” in a coffin-like box beneath his bed in sunny, sunny California. His wife knew all about it.
No, I am not talking about the ordeal of Jaycee Lee Dugard, who was kidnapped in 1991 when she was 11-years-old and who has just been rescued after an eighteen year captivity in the northern California home of Phillip and Nancy Garrido.
I am talking about 20-year-old Oregonian, Colleen Stan, who in 1977 was kidnapped by Cameron and Janice Hooker, buried alive in a coffin-like box and enslaved for seven years in southern California. The Hookers were a well-liked couple who had two children. Cameron was a 24-year-old bespectacled mill-worker at a lumber company. Janice was the kind of wife and mother who sewed, crocheted, entertained friends and who eventually worked at a nearby convenience store.
Here’s what the “average, mild, well-liked” mill worker did to Colleen Stan…Continue reading on Chesler Chronicles >>

This video was taken on Tuesday, August 25th, 2009 at Rep. Jim Moran’s (D-VA) Town Hall meeting on Obama Deathcare (Howie Dean was there too) held at South Lakes High School in Reston, VA.
Many people were left outside when the school filled to capacity. School security officer Wesley Cheeks, Jr. did not like the anti-Obamacare poster which used one of the gone-viral “Joker” graphics.
When he said to Officer Cheeks, “This used to be America!” his response was: “It ain’t no more, OK?”
