Translated: A Message From Senator Roland Burris

To this day I don’t know why I get these unsolicited emails from Burris, but I (as will you) find this paragraph amusing.
These past few months, I have been busy at work in the Senate trying to pass critical legislation to benefit the families of Illinois. As healthcare reform begins to be debated on the Senate floor this week and continues to make headlines in the news, I would like to hear from you. With insurance premiums going up and quality of coverage going down, I am more convinced than ever that we need a strong public option to inject meaningful competition and accountability in the insurance market while lowering costs for American families.

These past few months, I have been busy at work in the Senate trying to pass non-constitutional communist legislation to benefit the government ruling oligarchy of Illinois and the Great Socialist Utopia of Dear Leader Obama. As healthcare take over begins to be debated on the Senate floor this week and continues to make headlines in the news, I would like to hear from you as long as you agree that I know better than you what’s good for you and your family. With insurance premiums going up and quality of coverage going down, I am more convinced than ever that we need a strong state-run bureaucratic nightmare to inject meaningless “competition” and “accountability” (to me, not you serf) in the new state run insurance market while stripping freedom from American families.
You’re welcome.
