Treason

A very long time ago there was a man, Sun Tzu who penned a treatise, The Art of War. This small tome is as relevant today as it was when it was written in the 6th century BC.

When the common soldiers are too strong and their officers too weak, the result is INSUBORDINATION. When the officers are too strong and the common soldiers too weak, the result is COLLAPSE. When the higher officers are angry and insubordinate, and on meeting the enemy give battle on their own account from a feeling of resentment, before the commander-in-chief can tell whether or no he is in a position to fight, the result is RUIN.
- Sun Tzu

Based on interviews with foot soldiers a picture emerges of the Obama leadership. The Washington Post recently printed this administration’s rules of engagement for fighting Al Qaeda and the Taliban.

• No night or surprise searches.

• Villagers have to be warned prior to searches.

• ANA (Afghan National Army) or ANP (Afghan National Police) must accompany U.S. units on searches.

• U.S. soldiers may not fire at the enemy unless the enemy is preparing to fire first.

• U.S. forces cannot engage the enemy if civilians are present.

• Only women can search women.

• Troops can fire at an insurgent if they catch him placing an IED but not if insurgents are walking away from an area where explosives have been laid.

Our Democrat led Congress in its infinite know it all attitude has diverted funds from military training and ammunition budgets to pet projects during a time of war.

As reported by the Washington Post:

“Senators diverted $2.6 billion in funds in a defense spending bill to pet projects largely at the expense of accounts that pay for fuel, ammunition and training for U.S. troops, including those fighting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, according to an analysis.

Appropriations Committee Chairman Daniel K. Inouye, Hawaii Democrat, said during the debate on the bill. “There is no shortage. … The committee is deeply concerned that the critical operational needs of our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines are met with the finest equipment available.”

Money for the Kennedy Institute was inserted by Mr. Inouye and Sen. John Kerry, Massachusetts Democrat. Sen. Mary L. Landrieu, Louisiana Democrat, and Sen. David Vitter, Louisiana Republican, sought the funding for the World War II museum.”

This is after the budget was approved. They just moved the funds. The Military in response had to reduce training missions.

A combat load for a soldier when I was serving was 210 rounds of ammunition. Let me tell you that is not much in a fire fight when the nearest support is an hour away. The standard 5.56 NATO round weighs more than a 7.62×39 AK round. The AK round was designed so that combatants could carry more ammo. I would often forego packing other items to increase my ammunition load and I am sure that occurs today.

War is often lopsided. It is rare for a smaller force to attack a larger entrenched force. So basically our soldiers are outnumbered and under stocked with ammunition. Their hands are tied with overly restrictive rules of engagement.

The art of war is of vital importance to the State. It is a matter of life and death, a road either to safety or to ruin. Hence it is a subject of inquiry which can on no account be neglected.
- Sun Tzu, the Art of War

When the CINC sends our young men and women into harms way only to further his political agenda and not to win, he has committed a most grievous crime not only against the soldiers but against this Country.

When AG Eric Holder and Obama decided to try the enemy in a civilian criminal court instead of a military trial they once again have set the stage for failure. As anyone who has studied the case against the 9-11 conspirators knows, the conspirators came through Germany on the way to the United States. Germany has informed the US that no information from their intelligence may be used in a civilian criminal trial where the death penalty is an option. We have already seen how this faux Administration allows other Nations to dictate our policy and circumvent out laws. We bow to the will of every one but we refuse to follow our own laws.

Both in the 9-11 trial and the ROE this Administration is not leading but sacrificing our strengths. We see now why during the campaign Obama pandered to the world, he is still running for World President.

The decision making ability of Obama comes into serious questioning unless he wants to destroy America.

Though we have heard of stupid haste in war, cleverness has never been seen associated with long delays.
-Sun Tzu, the Art of War

I could go in a treatise on what I would do in Afghanistan but I am no longer part of the cadre. The foot soldier knows what the mission is but is being prevented from doing it. They all took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. Is it any wonder that their morale is low when they see their CINC bashing that same document and trying to subjugate the United States to the despots of the United Nations?

There are three ways in which a ruler can bring misfortune upon his army: By commanding the army to advance or to retreat, being ignorant of the fact that it cannot obey; This is called hobbling the army. By attempting to govern an army in the same way as he administers a kingdom, being ignorant of the conditions which obtain in an army; This causes restlessness in the soldier’s minds. By employing the officers of his army without discrimination, through ignorance of the military principle of adaptation to circumstances. This shakes the confidence of the soldiers.

Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals doesn’t work on a battlefield. A grand jury in Tennessee is moving forward with treason charges against Obama. Obama has by his actions and his lack of action implicated himself as guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors. Why isn’t the American Public outraged?
