Second American Revolution Begins Once Again in Massachusetts

Scott Brown’s historic and revolutionary win sends a powerful and clear message that the American people are resisting the oppressive policies of President Obama and speaker Nancy Pelosi.

This extraordinary victory in Massachusetts could not have been possible even 6 months ago and it demonstrates that the mythology surrounding President Obama is now in tatters.

Brown’s win also clearly shows that the American public is not comfortable with the current health care legislation and the way it is being shoved down the American peoples throats.

This is especially true concerning taxpayer funded abortions which 71% of the American people oppose.

ObamaCare Shocker

January 16, 2010 by Jay Printz

(Also on American Daughter)

Recently decided tenth amendment cases support constitutional challenges to ObamaCare. Here is evidence that my battle in Printz v. United States was not in vain, as so many liberals would have you believe! From FOXNewsAn Obamacare Shocker:

….there’s another key provision in Obamacare that probably violates the Tenth Amendment: the state exchanges.

The Tenth Amendment went for so many years without being used to strike down any law that it came to be regarded as what is called a “dead letter” in the Constitution, meaning a provision that says some sort of obvious statement, but that isn’t actually used by the courts for anything.

Then, in the 1990s, the Supreme Court shocked the legal world by striking down two laws for violating the Tenth Amendment. The first was New York v. United States in 1992, where the Court struck down a federal law requiring states to pass state laws for the disposal of radioactive waste, and to issue regulations for implementing those laws. Then in Printz v. United States in 1997, the Court struck down a provision of the Brady Act—a federal gun-control law—that required state and local law enforcement to run background checks on handgun purchasers.

From these two cases emerged the anti-commandeering principle, holding that the Tenth Amendment forbids the federal government from commandeering—or ordering—any branch of state government to do anything. The states are sovereign and answer only to their voters, not to Washington, D.C.

Therein lies the problem for the Senate’s Obamacare bill. It requires each state to pass laws setting up a statewide non-profit insurance exchanges. It then requires the states to pass regulations for implementing those laws. And it further requires the states to dedicate staff and spend state money to administer those programs.

In most respects, this is a straight-out repeat of those 1992 and 1997 cases. The main difference is that Obamacare violates the anti-commandeering principle in a far more severe and egregious way than those previous laws ever did.

This is really stunning. If New York and Printz had been decided as far back as 1910, then maybe you could imagine Congress deciding to roll the dice with a completely new Supreme Court a century later. But these are recent cases with conservative outcomes, and the only difference is that the Court has become a bit more conservative then it was in the 1990s when it decided those two cases….

The only way the Dems can get around this is to drag out the constitutional challenges until Obama, in a second term as president, may have a chance to replace two conservative Supreme Court justices with liberals.

The American public must deny Obama a second term, and the certain destruction of states’ rights.

Artists4Israel 2 the Rescue

In 2004 and 2005, a group of “oldsters,” myself included, decided that what was really needed to combat the steady stream of sophisticated propaganda against Israel and America was an instantly recognizable, credible, “catchy” way to tell the truth to high school and college-age “youngsters.” Something hip, something cool, (well, that dates us), something with a beat, something colorful–maybe a hip-hop or rap style musical which could tour the campuses.

Nothing really came of these ideas—but now, there is a real (tattooed) flesh-and-blood, high-heels-on-the-ground kinda group which has begun to actualize this vision. And to take it so much further. Their name is Artists4Israel, and they are wonderful…Continue reading on Chesler Chronicles >>

American Minute for January 8th

January 8, 2010 by William J. Federer

Though the War of 1812 had ended two weeks earlier, news had not yet reached New Orleans and on January 8, 1815, five thousand British soldiers charged in a frontal assault against General Andrew Jackson’s Tennessee and Kentucky sharpshooters. French pirate Jean Lafitte and his men aided the Americans. In just a half-hour, over two thousand British were killed and only 8 Americans.

On JANUARY 8, 1815, General Andrew Jackson wrote to Robert Hays regarding the victorious Battle of New Orleans: “It appears that the unerring hand of Providence shielded my men from the shower of balls, bombs, and rockets, when every ball and bomb from our guns carried with them a mission of death.” Known as “Old Hickory,” Andrew Jackson commented to Major Dravezac on his confidence before the Battle: “I was sure of success, for I knew that God would not give me previsions of disaster, but signs of victory.

He said this ditch can never be passed. It cannot be done.” Andrew Jackson wrote to Secretary of War James Monroe: “Heaven, to be sure, has interposed most wonderfully in our behalf, and I am filled with gratitude, when I look back to what we have escaped.”

Keep the Change
by Boo Reed

I don’t claim to know it all,
And I hope this Country doesn’t fall,
But we’re headed in the wrong direction way too fast.

Obama and his Czars are out of control,
While the working man’s getting deeper in the hole.
We’d all better hope and pray this, too, shall pass.

Who do these liberals think they are,
Telling us to drive electric cars,
While Obama bows down to the Saudi King?

I hope the headlines read two thousand and ten,
“The Republican Party’s in control again,
and Kenya voted Pelosi to be their Queen.”

Chorus

Don’t look now, but here they come,
Hide your Bibles, hide your guns!
America as we know it won’t be the same.

The rednecks and Christians are losing ground,
While Obama keep spreadin’ our wealth around.
Will someone please tell him to, “Keep his change?!”

I’m not apologizing for being glad
when ACORN’s cat jumped out of the bag.
My hat’s off to you guys at Fox News!

If the left-wing radicals pass a law
To muzzle folks like Sean and Limbaugh,
You can mark it down that I said so – We’re screwed!

Chorus

Don’t look now, but here they come,
Hide your Bibles, hide your guns!
America as we know it won’t be the same.

The rednecks and Christians are losing ground,
While Obama keep spreadin’ our wealth around.
Will someone please tell him to, “Keep his change?!”

Will someone please tell him to, “Keep his change?!”

Cushing, OK Woman Will Not be Charged for Fatally Shooting Home Intruder (Full 911 Call)

December 10, 2009 by Jenn Sierra
Filed under News and Opinion, Oklahoma

Following is the 911 call of a Cushing, OK woman who was forced to shoot an intruder in her home on December 4, 2009. The intruder died from shotgun injuries. Thankfully, Donna Jackson, due to her quick-thinking, level-headedness and excellent marksmanship, survived and is alive and well. She also managed to have the entire event audibly witnessed by a 911 operator, which may have played a part in the D.A.’s decision to rule the incident a justifiable homicide, and decline to press charges (Download .pdf of the D.A. statement).

The intruder had a criminal past. Our prayers are with Donna and her family as they deal with the aftermath of this trauma.

John Brown, the Weather Underground, and Al-Qaeda

December 5, 2009 by Phyllis Chesler

I have previously questioned the outrageous likening of Al-Qaeda’s Khalid Sheik Mohammed to abolitionist John Brown in the pages of the New York Times. Brown opposed slavery; Mohammed believes in practicing it.

Then, I discovered that the Brown/KSM analogy has only begun to gather steam. For example, “Slavery and the Legacy of Violence in our Times” will be the subject of a 4 day symposium beginning on December 4th at North Elba, Lake Placid. It is John Brown’s 150th Commemoration. Here’s how the Symposium is described:

“Dubbed one of the most controversial figures in American history, John Brown, 150 years after his death, remains a stimulant to discussion on the subject of slavery and the use of violence to achieve political and social change. Who was John Brown? To some, he was a terrorist, to others a martyr and the first to stand against the violence of slavery. To many, his words and actions set our nation on the path to Civil War which reunified the nation with federal laws that abolished slavery…Continue reading on Chesler Chronicles >>

A Soldier’s Silent Night (Music, Video and Lyrics)

December 4, 2009 by St. Nick

Updated for 2009

This poem was written by Lance Corporal James M. Schmidt in 1986. It was recorded by Father Ted Berndt of Bread of Life Charismatic Episcopal Church in Dousman, Wisconsin, who was also a Marine and WWII Purple Heart recipient.

His son has a website dedicated for the song: SoldiersSilentNight.com (Updated – the site has apparently been taken down.)

LISTEN HERE

Lyrics, courtesy of the Tank Master Gunner:

TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS, HE LIVED ALL ALONE,

IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE MADE OF PLASTER AND STONE.

I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEY WITH PRESENTS TO GIVE,

AND TO SEE JUST WHO IN THIS HOME DID LIVE.

I LOOKED ALL ABOUT, A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE,

NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS, NOT EVEN A TREE.

NO STOCKING BY MANTLE, JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND,

ON THE WALL HUNG PICTURES OF FAR DISTANT LANDS.

WITH MEDALS AND BADGES, AWARDS OF ALL KINDS,

A SOBER THOUGHT CAME THROUGH MY MIND.

FOR THIS HOUSE WAS DIFFERENT, IT WAS DARK AND DREARY,

I FOUND THE HOME OF A SOLDIER, ONCE I COULD SEE CLEARLY.

THE SOLDIER LAY SLEEPING, SILENT, ALONE,

CURLED UP ON THE FLOOR IN THIS ONE BEDROOM HOME.

THE FACE WAS SO GENTLE, THE ROOM IN SUCH DISORDER,

NOT HOW I PICTURED A UNITED STATES SOLDIER.

WAS THIS THE HERO OF WHOM I’D JUST READ?

CURLED UP ON A PONCHO, THE FLOOR FOR A BED?

I REALIZED THE FAMILIES THAT I SAW THIS NIGHT,

OWED THEIR LIVES TO THESE SOLDIERS WHO WERE WILLING TO FIGHT.

SOON ROUND THE WORLD, THE CHILDREN WOULD PLAY,

AND GROWNUPS WOULD CELEBRATE A BRIGHT CHRISTMAS DAY.

THEY ALL ENJOYED FREEDOM EACH MONTH OF THE YEAR,

BECAUSE OF THE SOLDIERS, LIKE THE ONE LYING HERE.

I COULDN’T HELP WONDER HOW MANY LAY ALONE,

ON A COLD CHRISTMAS EVE IN A LAND FAR FROM HOME.

THE VERY THOUGHT BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE,

I DROPPED TO MY KNEES AND STARTED TO CRY;

THE SOLDIER AWAKENED AND I HEARD A ROUGH VOICE,

“SANTA DON’T CRY, THIS LIFE IS MY CHOICE;

I FIGHT FOR FREEDOM, I DON’T ASK FOR MORE,

MY LIFE IS MY GOD, MY COUNTRY, MY CORPS.”

THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER AND DRIFTED TO SLEEP,

I COULDN’T CONTROL IT, I CONTINUED TO WEEP.

I KEPT WATCH FOR HOURS, SO SILENT AND STILL

AND WE BOTH SHIVERED FROM THE COLD NIGHT’S CHILL.

I DIDN’T WANT TO LEAVE ON THAT COLD, DARK, NIGHT,

THIS GUARDIAN OF HONOR SO WILLING TO FIGHT.

THEN THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER, WITH A VOICE SOFT AND PURE,

WHISPERED, “CARRY ON SANTA, IT’S CHRISTMAS DAY, ALL IS SECURE.”

ONE LOOK AT MY WATCH, AND I KNEW HE WAS RIGHT.

“MERRY CHRISTMAS MY FRIEND, AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT.”

The Only Logical Reason for Congress to Vote for Obama-Pelosi-Reid ‘Healthcare’

November 21, 2009 by Arlen Williams

Spell it out to your U.S. Senators and to all

Trying to determine what I could possibly say to my U.S. Senators’ office staffs about the medical takeover bill, that could make any difference, I settled upon telling them this:

The only logical reason to enact this Obama-Pelosi-Reid legislation, is to continue to destroy authentic America, in favor of an authoritarian, Marxofascist revolution.

And it is a violent revolution, whether it brings gunfire or not, since it deeply violates those most fundamental rights, to life, liberty, and property, which define the United States of America.

Are you going to vote for it and in doing so, declare this violent revolution as your aim?

Surely, the crafters of this monstrously complex legislation are not unintelligent, nor its political strategists, guileless. So, what intention is left for this, but the chief result it would have?

That message and questioning are what must be drummed into the media, too — and by word of mouth, and email, blogging, social networking comments, etc., drummed thoroughly into America’s consciousnesses and consciences. After all, that is what this legislation would do. It would tragically harm, not help Americans, medically. It would overwhelmingly harm, not help American society, as it is strategically slipped into the intentionally destructive agenda for “fundamentally changing America” presented not only by Barack Obama, but also by his globalist point-man, George Soros, also Nancy Pelosi, their contemporary “Democratic Party” apparatchiks — and going back, by Cloward-Piven, Saul Alinsky, the Frankfurt School, the KGB, etc.

If you wish to review how one arrives at this conclusion, feel free to peruse the Investigating Obama articles tagged with the label “health control,” or go directly to Dr. David Janda’s open letter, “The Obama Health Care Plan – in One Word.”

As Sarah Palin told Sean Hannity in their recent interview, Americans deserve to be told the truth about those who seek (and have now gained) power. Anything less is irresponsible. So, how can our consciences allow us to keep from telling free Americans the truth, concerning what so glaringly threatens to become the end of our history?

Obama wants you to read this post.

September 23, 2009 by Jenn Sierra
Filed under FHK WebWarriors, News and Opinion, zTab

Actually, President Obama doesn’t know about this post (yet), but I was very curious about this advertising tactic I’ve been seeing in Facebook ads recently. So, I did a little research, and have come up with more questions than answers.

Lately, I’ve been seeing these ads in the right sidebar of my Facebook profile:

Obama asks - ad1

Obama says - ad2

Obama pledges - Ad3

Obama urges - Ad4

Obviously, with the popularity of Obama during the last election season among internet users, it’s easy to see why some advertising companies would be tempted to wring every last bit of social energy they can out of his name for as long as possible. These ads are appearing on Facebook feeds that talk about Obama, so they are apparently utilizing keywords, but obviously not semantic web techonology (as any reading of “tone” would detect that I am not exactly a fan of the current administration, and would not be likely to do ANYTHING simply because “Obama urged me to”).

Several companies have tried this, unsuccessfully. Here are some examples:

The problems encountered by the above companies have been carefully avoided in the ads appearing on Facebook. Obama’s name was not used as the name of the company in any of the ads, and the content of the ads was not controversial in nature.

Ok. But wait, there’s more…

A couple of days ago, I started clicking on these ads, and discovered that they are all being produced by the same company – Experian. Does that name sound familiar? Here’s a list of companies in what they call the “Experian Interactive Family”:

That’s right – a company that has access to ALL of your personal information – name, DOB, SS#, bank accounts, credit cards, etc., feels perfectly comfortable claiming that President Barack Obama endorses their products. Why is that?

I’d like to know what you think. Am I making something out of nothing, or is this something to be concerned about?

Sincere Apologies To The FHK Readers

I recently received an email from our beloved Jenn advising that my potty mouth was cause for concern to the FHK readership and that I should promptly ingest a few shavings of soap.  Well, I added that last part myself but the message came through loud and clear.

My honest, sincere apologies to any I may have offended, I often forget in my cocoon of country boy, hard working, hard playing, gun totin’, potty mouthed world that its not always appropriate.

After all, I wouldn’t stand in the middle of a crowd of women and children and spew obscenities, so I shouldn’t do it here.

Sincerest apologies… now stop reading my sniveling and go fight the good fight!

I do have one request though…

Well, isn’t that just precious? The Lockerbie Bomber has a blog.

Remember Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi? He’s also known as the “Lockerbie Bomber,” for his part in killing 270, including 190 Americans in 1988. Scotland recently released him, ostensibly on “compassionate” grounds, because he is supposedly terminally ill. After he was given a hero’s welcome in Libya, information has begun to surface, indicating that his release was most likely a deal for oil.

So…what’s the dying martyr wannabe up to now? He has his own website, declaring his innocence: MegrahiMyStory.net (Yes, I used rel=”nofollow” on that link!) Feel free to check it out – download the .pdf’s at your own risk (I didn’t, and wouldn’t recommend it).
