What’s WALNUT?

A little known fact is that China has an organization that has operated for 63 years funded by the communist Chinese government called WALNUT (acronym has no English translation) that works to address issues of discrimination, affordable housing, a quality education, or better public services.

The only thing that sets the Chinese group apart from our American ACORN is that the Chinese community organization, WALNUT actually seeks to keep the oppressed, oppressed the poor, poor and the stupid, stupid.

Oh… Maybe they’re not so different after all.

Fun Facts Of The Day

To survive in hostile environments, cockroaches rely on their own vermin: Blattabacterium, a microbe that hitched a ride inside roaches 140 million years ago, and hasn’t left since.
Researchers who sequenced the Blattabacterium genome have found that it converts waste into molecules necessary for a roach to survive. Every cockroach is a testimony to the power of recycling — thanks to their microbes, they don’t even need to pee.

While this may make the cockroach the envy of beer drinkers the world over, surely this will not spare them from the bottom of our shoes moving in their direction at high velocity, nasty little bugs they are.

Surprisingly, a common fact about a different variety of cockroach, the DCius Democraticas Socialistus has gone unnoticed.  The DDS must spew raw feces from their mouths daily to survive.  Luckily, there is a lower form of cockroach, the North American Entitlement Serf, that finds the feces an irresistible treat and gobbles it up as quickly as its spewed.  Thus keeping our streets clean.

Sincere Apologies To The FHK Readers

I recently received an email from our beloved Jenn advising that my potty mouth was cause for concern to the FHK readership and that I should promptly ingest a few shavings of soap.  Well, I added that last part myself but the message came through loud and clear.

My honest, sincere apologies to any I may have offended, I often forget in my cocoon of country boy, hard working, hard playing, gun totin’, potty mouthed world that its not always appropriate.

After all, I wouldn’t stand in the middle of a crowd of women and children and spew obscenities, so I shouldn’t do it here.

Sincerest apologies… now stop reading my sniveling and go fight the good fight!

Action Alert! Time To Tap The Outer Continental Shelf

From Partnership For Energy, or as the left would say, those evil @#%&*! oil companies who put gas in our evil @#%&*! cars so we can go to those evil @#%&*! jobs to work for some evil @#%&*! white man’s corporation to feed our evil @#%&*! kids…oh wait…I take that last part back.

While we are working hard to help stop damaging policies like the Waxman-Markey climate legislation from being enacted, we also need to push hard to encourage positive solutions, such as increased domestic energy exploration and production.

The federal Minerals Management Service (MMS) is now considering a new five-year leasing program that will greatly expand our nation’s access to the resource-rich Outer Continental Shelf (OCS).  It is vital that the MMS hear strong support for moving forward with its plan to open 31 areas for oil and natural gas exploration.  This plan will create thousands of new jobs, reduce our dependence on foreign fuel, and make our nation more energy secure.
