One conspiracy theory about the WTC collapse is that traces of tritium, an isotope of hydrogen, prove that nuclear devices, or, in some claims, mini-nukes were used to bring down the towers. However, this is a complete lie.

For one thing, any nuclear device will leave huge amounts of radiation as we see here. Furthermore, there would have been an electromagnetic pulse that would knock out all electronic equipment in range, which can be considerable (source). This quote from here makes the point quite nicely:

Living organisms are impervious to these effects, but electrical and electronic equipment can be temporarily or permanently disabled by them. Ionized gases can also block short wavelength radio and radar signals (fireball blackout) for extended periods.

Hint: This means that the TV cameras in the area of the WTC would have STOPPED WORKING when the towers came down. They did not do so.

One conspiracy theory is that the damage to the Pentagon was caused by a missile, but this source shows why that could not possibly be true.

Of course, the most obvious reason there could not possibly have been a missile attack on the Pentagon is due to the NUMEROUS eyewitnesses who saw a COMMERCIAL PLANE hit the Pentagon (Reference). You can also confirm this by checking the sources at the bottom of my April 4, 2008 article.

Here are some more facts for “truthers” about the hijackers’ piloting skills, provided by Giulio Bernacchia, who spent 27 years as a pilot (source).

The article Mr. Bernacchia is debunking is titled “The Impossibility of Flying Heavy Aircraft Without Training” by  Nila Sagadevan and is found here. In his paper, Mr. Bernacchia’s statements are in bold (source).

Sagedevan’s first claim is that the hijackers could not have acquired sufficient training as they couldn’t even fly a small Cessna - however, as Bernacchia points out, that’s what flight schools are for - all pilots start their career at that level (reference).

“Truthers” insist that there was molten steel flowing from the 81st floor of the south tower. The picture on the right-hand side of the page here the picture conspiracy theorists use.

However, this could not possibly be further from the truth.

The plain simple fact of the matter is that the flowing material has NOT been identified without a doubt, but the expert opinion is that it was molten ALUMINUM mixed with other materials that came into contact with molten or extremely hot metal on the floor in question ( source).

Furthermore, as this source points out points out, the NIST conclusion was that the flow was caused by a puddle of molten aluminum from the Boeing 767 that hit the tower, combined with things such as furniture, gypsum from the drywall, etc. When the floors began tilting down, the puddle was provided with a method of flowing out. Unless otherwise indicated, all information in this article comes from “On Debunking 911 Debunking” by Ryan Mackey.

On pages 30-32, Ryan Mackey provides us with David Ray Griffin’s comparison of the ‘88 First Interstate Bank fire in L.A.   That fire lasted for 3 ½ hours and destroyed five floors, but the structural damage was negligible.

However, there are several differences which Griffin ignores- fortunately, Ryan Mackey provides the differences, and those differences were as follows:

1. There was no loss of fireproofing, unlike the WTC
2. There was considerably less ventilation, and therefore less oxygen for the First Interstate Bank fire, unlike the WTC, where the impact of the planes left gaping holes in the side and broke windows
3. The LA Fire Dept was able to fight that fire as it started on a fairly low floor and the elevators were still functional, and
4. The First Interstate Bank more than likely started at a single location and spread slowly rather than starting across multiple floors at once

Continuing from my previous article, here are some more real world physics for “truthers,” as opposed to the Wile E. Coyote physics they use.

As I pointed out in my previous article, mass doesn’t move mass, force does, and , per Newton’s Second Law of Motion, Force equals mass times acceleration, written as F = ma (source).  Force is measured in Newtons (reference).  The same source gives this definition of a Newton: “One Newton is defined as the amount of force required to give a 1-kg mass an acceleration of 1 m/s/s.”  1 m/s/s is another way of saying 1 m/s-squared. This means that a one-kg mass would have a force of 10 Newtons (N).  Continue Reading »

It’s time to give “truthers” another lesson in real world physics.

“Truthers” often insist that it is impossible to move more with less.  Yet, things like levers, pulleys, etc. allow one to do exactly that.   That tire jack that’s light enough for you to lift out of the trunk quite easily can lift up your car, no problem, something a person can’t do.   I weigh considerably less then my car, yet I can push it, no problem.  The fact that the car has wheels does not change the fact that it’s more massive than I am.

Now, since “truthers” are going to want me explain how the mass of the upper floors were able to move the much larger mass of the lower ones, it’s a little thing called force.

The 9-11 “Truth” Movement claims that Flight 77 could not have gone through three separate rings of the Pentagon (source).

This quote from 911myths.com shows the “truther” argument:

And as for the inside of the Pentagon, there’s another hole, approximately six feet in diameter…Found on the other side of the C Ring, three rings from the impact. For that hole to have been caused by Flight 77, the Boeing would have had to smash through nine feet of steel reinforced concrete.

Here are some more lies about WTC 7 and Silverstein from the 911 “Truth” movement.

Here is a quote from wtc7liesgooglepages, which they took from 911.truth.org showing what the “truthers” claim Silverstein said:

“This building-the last to fall on 9-11-is key to all controlled-demolition theories. Its sudden fall onto its own footprint, and developer Larry Silverstein’s reference on TV to telling the FDNY to ‘pull it, are seen as evidence that WTC7 was rigged to fall.”

However, as we see from this quote here, this is what Silverstein REALLY said during a 2002 interview for a PBS documentary:

“I remember getting a call from the fire department commander, telling me that they were not sure they were gonna be able to contain the fire, and I said, ‘We’ve had such terrible loss of life, maybe the smartest thing to do is pull it.’ And they made that decision to pull and then we watched the building collapse.”

Former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura has been caught lying about 9-11 himself.

First, we have this quote from Ventura’s appearance on the Alex Jones Show:

How could those buildings fall at the speed of gravity - if you put a stopwatch on them both of those World Trade Center buildings were on the ground in ten seconds…

This is a blatant lie that has already been debunked. 

As we see from the picture found here , the debris, which WAS falling at freefall speeds was falling FASTER than the building, so, logically, the buildings did NOT fall at freefall speeds. 

We also have this quote from here as evidence of “truther” dishonesty:

Deceptive videos stop the timer of the fall at 10:09 when only the perimeter column hits the ground and not the building itself. If you notice, the building just finishes disappearing behind the debris cloud which is still about 40 stories high.

Second, Ventura makes this statement in his Alex Jones appearance, which is a lie:

Never before in the annals of history has a fire caused a steel structure building to fall to the ground like these two did.
