(Get this Button for Your Blog)
A hat-tip goes out today to new FHK friend, Neocon News.com. If you’re a blogger, you definitely want to register with Technorati.
Technorati is a very large, well-known search engine for blogs, which includes social networking features. Previously on FHK, we have discussed using Technorati Favorites as a resource and networking tool.
Technorati also has a rating system for bloggers, which is a means to tell which blogs have the most “authority” on the web. For non-profit blogs like FHK, it’s a bit of a competition, but for bloggers-for-profit, a higher technoratiy authority can make a big difference in ad revenue.
To get started, go to Technorati.com, click “join,” and follow the directions. If you already have an account there, you will want to “claim your blog.” To do this, sign in, then click the option to “edit” your profile (near the top right of your screen), click the “blogs” tab, then follow the “claim a blog,” instructions. See? Easy and fun. Well, easy, anyway.
