Bush Gets In Bed With Environmentalists

» by Orlando in: Uncategorized

Bush - global warming Big mistake George W. Bush!  Big, big mistake.  President Bush recently spoke at the Major Economies Meeting on Energy Security and Climate Change.  In his speech he promised the U.S. would do more on climate change.  In return he got crap.

Here is how the Associated Press discussed it:

President Bush’s call on Friday for a new fund to reduce global warming fell flat with Europeans and environmentalists who say U.N.-mandated cuts in greenhouse gases are what’s needed.

When you get in bed with the environmentalists they are not going to welcome you with open arms.  You can never do enough to please them short of mandating every person in the U.S. live in a shack like Ted “unabomber” Kaczynski who had no electricity, no running water, and no toilet.  He was the perfect environmentalist.

For George W. Bush to “try” and give towards environmentalists only opens him up to criticism on several fronts.  First, it emboldens environmentalists to want more, more, more.  Saying the U.S. will “try” is paramount to saying “give me all of it now.”  Second, it only leads to extreme criticism.  The news and blogosophere is ripe with Bush denigrations and other assorted slander already.  Third, environmentalism is a religion.  As such, there is nothing you can say until you are totally converted to their Jihadist thinking.  Otherwise, you are the devil.  There is no middle ground, no reasoning with them.

You have opened up Pandora’s Box Mr. Bush and you can not close it.  Soon you will see the results of getting in bed with environmentalists.
