Obama Fiddles While Iran Burns

Iran is on fire. And as I watch a potentially revolutionary, internet-driven uprising unfold over vote-counting, (vote-counting!) and not over the torture, unlawful imprisonment, and mass murder of Iranian citizens by its own leaders, I only now begin to appreciate the possible psychological impact of that first free, public election held in Iraq, courtesy of brave American blood.

I have been watching the coverage and reading the news about what is happening in the streets of Teheran. I’ve also been contacting Iranian dissident friends and colleagues. I am terrified and outraged (by the heartless Iranian regime), thrilled (by the bravery of so many young Iranians), mortified (by my own government’s cautious refusal to “take sides”). After all, we are talking about a nuclear-obsessed tyranny that has threatened to genocidally exterminate Israel and to re-establish a world-wide Caliphate. Yes, on American soil too if they can…Continue reading on Chesler Chronicles >>

What If Obama is Ineligible?

What If Obama is Ineligible?

Imagine a fraudulent President, I think you can,
A bogus election won by an ineligible man.

My apologies to John Lennon for the above. I have been following the circumstances of Mr. Obama’s eligibility to run for President for some time now. I have watched the arrogant Courts say that a citizen has no business complaining about it and is not impacted by a fraud. I am now seeing multiple lawsuits about Obama’s birthplace and/or his eligibility.

As far as I can determine there is no procedure in place for:

A. Vetting a Presidential Candidate for a security clearance background.
B. Replacing a fraudulently elected President after election.

If the Supreme Court of the United States invalidates the 2008 Presidential Election then we must consider what happens after that.

Does Joe Biden then become President? From a legal standpoint I would say no, they ran as a pair with the criminal fraud choosing his running mate. Voters were voting for the ticket. If the entire primary procedure were invalidated because of Obama’s fraud Biden would not even be in the running.

Do we hold new elections? This would on the surface seem the fair thing to do except it would take time and who would be in control until the new elections and transitions? Would Congress leave President Bush in charge or would they appoint Nancy Pelosi as Interim President? President Bush by law can not serve more than two terms, but can he be an Interim President for the next (approx.) two years until the next President is elected? How would this affect the term of the next President? Would they be allowed to serve a full 4 year term? Could Congress appoint VP Cheney as Interim President? If the Supremes made their decision before the Electoral College vote and based up their interpretation of “natural-born citizen” neither McCain nor Obama was eligible then the Electoral college would they have to vote for one of the other third party candidates; Barr, Keyes, Nader, McKinney, Jay or Baldwin? Would they be free to vote for whomever they choose? This would mean we would have a President that the people did not elect. The same would be the result if Nancy Pelosi were sworn in as Interim.

Realizing that we are at war and realizing that the Country is undergoing an economic crisis any decision by the Supreme Court against Obama would create a Constitutional Crisis something unforeseen by the Founding Fathers, something for which we have no guidelines! And to think this all could have been avoided by requiring all Presidents to be investigated for a security clearance like we do all our NCOs in the military and showing those results to the voting public.

A Clue to the Next VP

The GOP has announced the schedule and speakers for their convention next week. One thing this proves is that they are better prepared than the DNC who got their schedule released late on August 24, 2008 for the August 25 convention.

You can read the schedule at Media Lizzy’s website. As you are reading be sure to look for the missing names of people presumed to be on the potential VP List. This is a good indicator of whom John McCain is considering. I have prepared the following chart.

Obama Announces His Running Mate

The long awaited announcement from the Obama camp about his pick for Vice President came at 3 AM (there take that, HRC) via text message sent by some anonymous staffer. The world then rolled over and went back to sleep.

The pre-announcement hype has been building in the main stream media all week. The long anticipated announcement has left a lot of people wondering…is that all there is?

The whole thing reminded me of traveling cross country in the days before DDE’s dream of interstate highways. You would pass a series of signs:

  • 8th Wonder of the World 100 miles…
  • 8th Wonder of the World 60 miles…
  • 8th Wonder of the World 20 miles…
  • 8th Wonder of the World 5 miles…4….3…2…
  • 1 mile…
  • Just Ahead on the Left…
  • Closed for the Season.

Does McCain Want to Win?

After McCain won enough delegates to secure the Republican nomination, the general wisdom was that he would have to work hard to bring the conservative core of the Republican Party over to his side. For a while it appeared that he was actually trying to do that. But the honeymoon is over.

Today is Cinco de Mayo and McCain chose this date to unveil his Spanish languish web site. I have my reservations about a Spanish languish site considering American citizens, the only one’s who can vote, should be able to read an English language site. But the site itself isn’t the big problem. What is a problem is McCain’s return to language reminiscent of the McCain-Kennedy debate.

McCain is now saying that Republicans have hurt themselves by opposing McCain-Kennedy and he wants to turn that around. He’ll do so basically by implementing McCain-Kennedy once elected! It makes one wonder how sincere McCain was when he said he was a conservative and wanted to work with conservatives. Clearly he doesn’t think he needs to worry about us too much now. Read more

The Silent Majority Wants Immigration Reform

Immigration is one of the many hot button issues of the ongoing Presidential Campaign. It has been the subject of many polls over the last few years.

What most voters, especially the younger ones don’t realize what the true future impact of immigration is. Today you can’t go into a store without seeing dual language signs because as the Pew Hispanic Center poll in 2006 showed a large percentage of both foreign-born and American-born Latinos do not believe they have to learn English to be a part of American Society. That’s one reason you have to “Press One for English.”

Bleeding heart liberals who think that immigration actually helps other countries should view Roy Beck’s video “Gumball Immigration” explains why this is not just a security problem but it is a serious environmental and economic dilemma. And remember Roy Beck’s numbers deal only with LEGAL immigrants. Read more

NONE OF THE ABOVE

This article will probably be a great waste of my time, because the ones who read it and understand will not be the ones who need to read it.

Wikipedia says that the reason for voting

In a democracy, voting commonly implies election, i.e. a way for an electorate to select among candidates for office. In politics voting is the method by which the electorate of a democracy appoints representatives in its government.

I have read a lot of comments lately about what people will do when their candidate doesn’t appear on the ballot for the General Election in the US. Some have said they will not vote. Some have said they will vote for someone else “to send a message”. Some have said their (political) party has been hijacked. Some will vote a straight party ticket without knowing what the platform is or what the candidates stand for. Some will vote based on race, age, gender or appearance (these are the HOPEfull voters).

To these malcontents I say this, “Get over it!” If you don’t vote at all then you cede all rights to complain. Unless you vote you really haven’t earned the right to protest. As for those that talk about jumping parties, I say go ahead, but know what you are really doing. Being an active political party member does not mean that you support the candidate, it means you support the party platform. Read more
