Obama at Ft. Hood Memorial: No Mention of Terrorism or Jihad

America, the West, and Israel are all fighting back in a war that radical, jihadic Islamists, (not Muslims) have declared against us. The Islamist propagandists have managed to persuade western leftists, academics, politicians, heads of state, and the media that America and Israel are actually waging a war on Islam. Nevertheless, today, a half hour ago at Ft Hood, President Obama did not pronounce the following words: “Jihad.” “Terrorism.” “Islamist terrorism” or “Islamic terrorism.” Early on, President Obama said that “this is a time of war,” (followed by many platitudes). Fortune Telling

 

The events of the last week, as evidenced by reactions to the horrific mass murder at Fort Hood, give indicators where Obama and his minions want to take this Country.

Obama in his remarks at the Department of the Interior the day of the shootings disrespected the military in a couple of ways. First when he did a shout out to a man whom he claimed was a Medal of Honor recipient. The man actually was awarded a civilian medal of freedom. They are not even close to being the same. The Congressional Medal of Honor is the highest award for valor against an  enemy force which can be bestowed upon an individual serving in the Armed Services of the United States. A fact that seemed to not be in Obama’s vast knowledge base. In his speech he makes reference to the fact that he is the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Services but his lack of empathy with the victims, their families and the military spoke louder than his tele-prompter reading. His ignorance about the Medal of Honor also speaks volume about his knowledge of military traditions and protocol.

Even after a few days with it, Obama still wants you to have sympathy for the … shooter. Obama wants to portray Hasan as a soldier (one who has never been to war)who simply snapped under the pressures of serving. He was a dedicated Officer in the US Army.

Obama in an interview with Jake Tapper of ABC News, implied that Hasan “cracked” under stress. Cracked? This is a man whom purchased an expensive weapon ($1200 to $2000) months before and practiced extensively.   This is a man whose own family can’t keep his story straight about when he entered the Military and why. This is a man who put his ethnicity and religion over his oath to this Country. This is a man who purchased additional high capacity magazines for one of his pistols to expedite reloading (He fired in excess of five full magazines; over 100 rounds, 20 rounds per magazine in less than four minutes, weapon new comes with only three magazines). His actions were not those of a person who snapped, they were planned and premeditated. They were thought out before hand and then executed. This is a man who took a medical oath to do no harm and violated it. This is a man who had business cards made up identifying himself as an “SOA” (Soldier of Allah) (ht Pamela Gellar). This is a man who on official paperwork claimed to be born in Virginia but who listed his nationality as Palestinian. This is a man who proselytized Islam, and either conned members of his mosque into believing he was a good and dedicated US Army soldier or they are all part of the plot and are lying.

After days of reflection (pouring over poll results) and news reports about the life of the latest attempt at Islamic martyrdom, Obama suggests that we try to understand the poor depressed shooter.

This was not an attack on the Great Satan’s Army as has been suggested by radical Muslims, this was an attack on America and Her heart. There is still much we do not know about Hasan’s motives but from his actions it is clear that he typifies the enemy and that we are in a war not only against terrorism but against radical Islam.

Surf by Youtube and watch the videos posted by the acolytes of radical Islam.  They openly malign and curse America. Why not? Even our POTUS apologizes for this Country every chance he gets. 

This is not the first attack on our military by another uniformed service member.  Hasan Karim Akbar (aka Mark Fidel Kools) tried to wipe out a command control group in Kuwait in 2003. Interesting that his mother originally named him after Castro. He was sentenced to death but his case is languishing in the Court of Military Appeals.

The timing couldn’t have better for this Administration. It pushed the unconstitutional acts of Congress from the front pages of America. It allowed this Administration to perform their slight of hand magic and thuggery to push this country down the doomed road to socialism.

Expect increased pressure by this Administration to allow shariah law to gain access to our court system. You can also expect a lot of Administration pressure on military authorities to “hide” information. Scapegoats will be found and “exposed”, all in an attempt to minimize any responsibility by Nidal Hasan.

Hasan didn’t slip under the radar he was given a “political correct” pass by people more interested in their own agendas than the needs, desires or tenets of America. But those people who gave him the “pass” will escape scrutiny for they have served their masters well in bringing America down.

Opening our borders to travelers and immigrants with AIDS and HIV; the Congress threatening to imprison anyone who object to their brand of socialism as demonstrated in the House Healthcare Bill; the “bribing” of elected Representatives with re-election funds; the appalling lack of emotion by Obama to the Fort Hood tragedy;  the victimization of the shooter and the implied condoning of his actions; the subjugation of American sovereignty to the UN; the indoctrination of school children into the “Cult of Personality”; the subjugation of free speech;  and the bankrupting of this Nation are not small steps they are giant leaps into the abyss.

Unless the American people wake up and start speaking up so loudly that it affects  the great one’s polling numbers expect more seditious behavior.

Western Justice for Honor Killers

When girls or women suddenly disappear, we tend to assume that they’ve been kidnapped by pedophiles or traffickers. Some of us think they were probably prostitutes and either deserved to die or were, tragically, lured to their deaths by a serial killer.

The Sky is Falling …

 An old fable is updated…

Chicken Barry was walking along one day when he was hit in the head by a falling nut. Unknown to Chicken Barry, the nut didn’t fall it was actually thrown by Chicken George aka Sorry Soros. Unapologetic Billie Airs had positioned Chicken Barry for the full impact from the nut. Billie Airs told Chicken Barry that the sky was falling and that only he could prevent the end of the world. Chicken Barry then started running and telling everyone he saw about the doom and gloom that lie ahead, but due to his head injury he kept forgetting the message and required a teleprompter to remind him every time he spoke. Chicken Barry told all his friends, there was Fancy Nancy, Scary Harry, Odd Dodd and Smarmy Barney who heard the message and proceeded to cover their ass-ets with large government umbrellas. Even that crazy Anti-war Gore got in the act by claiming that the reason the sky was falling was too many people breathing and producing carbon dioxide. This fit into Anti-War Gore’s overall plan of making more money since he had positioned himself to be the retailer of carbon credits. Chicken George then used his wealth to manipulate a fake emergency and caused his blind followers to repeat the lie, the economy is failing, the economy is failing, and the economy is failing. They did this until a majority actually believed the lie. Then they all started a campaign to make a spending rush to bankruptcy, screaming “Now, Now, Now!” This enabled Chicken Barry to give control of banking, transportation and energy to friends of Sorry Soros. This had been the plan for over 30 years. Friends of Chicken Barry were now poised to totally destroy everything so they could live as potentates over their minions. A dynasty had to be created from the ruins. They continued to scream “Now, Now, Now. Healthcare, stimulus, capitulation, apologies, Racism, reparations, amnesty, a second constitution, subservience to enemies, Ala Akbar, what ever Chicken Barry wants. Every one listen and obey, do it quick there isn’t much time.

Chicken Barry was permanently addled from the bombardment of nuts, which he now recognized as acorns. His head would never be normal again.

Even though he no longer could reason logically, Chicken Barry and his friends knew that their game was discovered by a few but they had counted on that. Let the people stand up and complain. It would be their demise. It would give Chicken Barry the excuse he needed to declare martial law and to suspend all rights previously granted under that worthless piece of paper they call the Constitution!

While the people run around screaming, the end is near, the sky is falling, God is dead, America is dead, capitalism is dead, the oceans are rising, the skies are on fire, and other slogans popular with the uninformed, Chicken George is continuing to make even more money and destroy more governments in his hope for an esperanto speaking New World Order.

Obama’s War

 

Why is Obama willing to commit more military into Afghanistan? Is he really trying to catch Bin Laden? Why would Obama do something that is so out of character for him?

We have already seen how new restrictions and the new rules of engagement not only put our soldiers at greater risk but also gets them killed.

We know that Obama empathizes with the terrorists of 9-11. We know that he has bowed subserviently to the Saudi King, purveyor and financier of radical Islam.

We see Obama slash the Defense budget that includes items required for the protection of military personnel. We see further escalation and Iranian arms being used by the enemy in Afghanistan without comment from the White House. We see Russia, North Korea, Venezuela and Iran banding together to stymie us in Afghanistan. Perhaps their aim is to suck us dry just like what happened to the old USSR when it got mired in Afghanistan, but what is Obama’s plan.

What would he have to gain? Why would Obama send soldiers, young patriots, mostly conservatives, primarily Republican-leaning in their politics, to their deaths without every advantage that this Nation could give them?

I Do Solemnly Swear … To Lie

 

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

This is the oath a President takes on Inauguration Day. This is the oath of office that Barack Obama took.

I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

This is the oath that every military member takes.

Do you notice the difference?

Let’s look at a few facts.

China just announced that on October 1^st in its National Day Parade it will unveil several new short, medium and intercontinental ballistic missiles.

Russian Air Force contracts $190 million to buy new missiles.

Russia is developing new missiles to counter the US’ defensive missile umbrella developed and promised to Allies.

Iran has made and is making or altering pre-existing missiles that can now reach Israel and Southern Europe. In addition Iran is testing missiles in such a manner it is likely that they will be used to create an electrical magnetic pulse instead of a ground explosion and have purchased submarines as a delivery system.

North Korea has been testing in violation of UN agreements, short, medium and long range missiles. They are also suspected of selling missile guidance system information to Iran, Pakistan, and Burma.

Obama has cut the 2010 budget for missile purchase and research by 1.2 billion dollars. He has also reneged on the NATO missile shield program and discontinued all funding. Poland and the Czech Republic are left defenseless in the path of overt Russian aggression. Georgia has already been invaded and our allies now are just waiting for the attack that is to come. Obama has already suggested the reduction of our munitions and missiles. He is reducing the size of the military while trying to increase his own personal National Security Force. In a Bill (HR 645) already introduced he desires large interment camps to be established for “national emergencies”.

Obama believes the Constitution that he swore to upholds is flawed.

If Obama had taken the second oath, the oath of enlistment, he would already be on trial for failing that oath. As for his violating the inauguration oath, well he doesn’t believe in Our Constitution any way.

This is a man whose past is hidden and murky. His allegiances unknown. This man would not even be allowed to join our Armed Forces with what we know and what we still don’t know.

Now tell me again why there is no move to impeach this man?

 These words from Dante’s Divine Comedy are apt for all friends and allies of the United States and could be the future motto for Americans still living after the coming purge.

Obama is going to disregard years of diplomacy and promises of protection to Democratic nations. His actions will embolden Putin’s Socialist States to accomplish their aim of rebuilding the USSR. His failure to follow through on promises will cause even our staunchest allies to distrust us. His actions will make it easier for Iran to spread its umbrella of terror.

Obama has nationalized banking and automobiles. He has put capitalism under the control of his appointed “Czars” who aren’t responsible to the voters or Congress. They staff their offices  and draw in six figure salaries living off the sweat and hard work of tax paying Americans all the while pursuing their inane hatred of this country. They were plucked from a conglomeration of radical ideologies with a common goal, that of destroying American ideals.

From his Attorney General who won’t prosecute racists who attempted to intimidate voters but will pursue American intelligence Agents who blew second hand smoke into the faces of prisoner captured on the battlefield to his Homeland Security Secretary who thinks veterans, Bible readers, gun owners and conservative bloggers are the only real terrorists and his Science Czar who believes in population control and compulsory abortion, this Administration is a bunch of nuts and crackpots from every fringe element.

From a cap and trade con-game designed to destroy the financial backbone of America to give away programs like HR 3200, the Obama Kennedycare Bill, designed to create even more poverty and make more citizens dependent on handouts. While our enemies dance in the streets, shooting Christians our Great Leader is apologizing for our belief system. From a Green Czar who is an acknowledged communist with a belief that we deserved what happened on 9-11 to paid agitators who attack dissenting citizens, to “Bully” Congressmen who threaten legal businesses with subpoenas in an effort to shut them up. Censorship both of media and the internet, “false flags”, red herrings, and all the transparency of a brick wall from a Community Organizer who hides all his records. Smoke and mirrors, distraction and diversion are the norm while in the back rooms they plot to destroy this Nation.

And yet with all the Machiavellian manipulations of this Anti-American mob that is in power, too few Americans bother to get inform, even fewer speak out. Teachers who indoctrinate rather than teach, Politicians that go with the money rather than stand on principles.

I didn’t think any President could be as bad as Jimmy Carter, sadly I now know I was in error.

Muslims Don’t Murder Apostates, 9/11 Had Nothing to do with Islam

Fathima Rifqa Bary, the Muslim teenager who converted to Christianity at least four years ago but who only recently ran away, has been taken away from the two good Samaritan Christian pastors who took her in and is now in state custody in Florida. On Friday, a judge will decide whether her case should be heard in Florida or in Ohio. Her parents have “lawyered” up, her father Mohamed Bary, a jeweler, insists that he never threatened to kill her, that he wants her to come home. The mainstream media is getting nervous. What if they believe what Rifqa says and they end up sued? Or worse?

After all, the Columbus police have challenged the girl’s claim that she is in danger. Sgt Jerry Cupp, chief of the Columbus police missing person’s bureau, has said that “Mohamed Bary comes across to me as a loving, caring, worried father about the whereabouts and the health of his daughter.”

Muslim Teen Who Converted to Christianity Says Family Threatened to Kill Her

An Ohio teenager who says she ran away from home because her family threatened to kill her for converting from Islam to Christianity, is now in the custody of the Florida Department of Children and Families (DFC), local and national media have been reporting.

The teenager testified Monday at a custody hearing in Orlando that she’d recently changed religions and is worried her relatives will do something drastic, according to WFTV in Orlando and Central Florida News 13.

“They have to kill me because I’m a Christian. It’s an honor (issue),” the girl told WFTV.

Such threats are common, even in the United States, her attorney, Rosa Gonzalez, told News 13.

“She says her life is in danger and she could be killed in an honor killing,” Gonzalez said after the hearing — which was held because the teenager’s parents are trying to regain custody of her.

FOX News reports that the teen, a non-citizen whose parents are from Sri Lanka, has for several weeks been staying with an Orlando couple who are pastors of a new Christian church there. She met them on a Facebook prayer group.

Her father denied his daughter’s allegations to NBC 4 in Orlando, saying he never threatened to kill his daughter because she rejected Islam. He was in Florida for a court hearing, but was reportedly traveling back to Ohio Tuesday.

While for the time being, The Florida Department of Children and Families currently has custody of her, ultimately, Ohio authorities will decide where the teen should live, FOX News stated.

ABC News’ Sarah Netter reports that although the father insists he is not a menace to his daughter, a Florida court has placed the 17-year-old girl in foster care until her claims can be investigated.

According to ABC News, the teen left home in New Albany, Ohio, last month and hopped on a bus to Orlando to meet with husband and wife pastors Blake and Beverly Lorenz, who she met through a Facebook prayer group for the couple’s non-denominational Global Revolution Church.

“When she came to our house, she told us her parents would not report her missing,” Blake Lorenz told ABCNews.com.

Apparently they did immediately report their daughter missing but the disappearance reached local news stations and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

Pastor Lorenz said the teen, a native of Sri Lanka, had secretly converted from Islam to Christianity four years ago, but her religion was only discovered recently. She had snuck out to an area church where, according to Lorenz, she had an “incredible encounter with Jesus.”

Lorenz said the teen was so moved she posted about it on her Facebook page, writings that would later be seen by her friends from her family’s mosque and reported to her father, ABC News said.

“That’s when he threatened to kill her for the first time,” Lorenz said, adding that he didn’t know on how many other occasions that threat had been made.

ABC News said the battle finally came to a head about a month ago, he said, when her mother found a Christian book in the house while the father was out of town. The girl’s mother, he said, threatened to tell her father.

“She did say she was dead to her” if she didn’t renounce her Christian faith, Lorenz said.

The teen confirmed to ABC’s Orlando affiliate WFTV that she believed her father would kill her.

“They have to kill me because I’m a Christian. It’s an honor [killing]. If they love me more than God, then they have to kill me,” she explained.

ABC News said that terrified and fearing she would be the victim of an honor killing, the teen got on a bus and borrowed a cell phone to contact Beverly Lorenz who she had been communicating with after finding the Lorenzes’ church on Facebook.

The pastors’ first move was to call an attorney, several of them, actually, ABC News said.

“No one really knew what to do,” Lorenz said, pointing out that she was not only a minor, but that she had crossed state lines and she wasn’t even a U.S. citizen.

ABC News reports that Blake Lorenz said the girl arrived late at night after a two-day trip. The next morning, the couple called police for advice, but did not tell them her name. They did report her presence two weeks later, he said, when the couple realized the teen’s parents had reported her missing.

Lorenz said he fears the teen is “definitely not safe.” He pointed to other suspected honor killings in Muslim families, including two Texas sisters who were murdered by their Muslim father Jan. 1, 2008, in what some believed to be religion-fueled rage over the girls’ Western ways.

The teen’s father has been in Florida trying to bring his daughter home. A woman who answered the phone at the girl’s home in Ohio said she was a relative, but declined to answer any questions.

The father told WFTV that there was no truth to his daughter’s claims.

Pastor Lorenz said he called the abuse hotline Friday. Elizabeth Arenas, a public information officer for the Florida Department of Children and Families, said the girl is now in foster care, she said, while Florida officials work with Ohio child services to investigate the teen’s claims.

“We just want to be sure she’s going to be safe,” Arenas said.

ABC News reported that the teen, her father, Lorenz and Florida DCF officials appeared in court Monday where a judge ordered her to remain in state custody for now. The teen is being represented by a lawyer with the Alliance Defense Fund, a legal group that takes on conservative Christian causes.

“When she saw her dad yesterday, she was scared to death,” Blake Lorenz said. “She literally believes she’s going to be killed.”

As for the father, he said, “I don’t want to make him out to be a monster, because I’m sure he’s not.”

ABC News reported that Arenas, who said the father has been cooperative with Florida DCF officials, said the state had recommended the teen be placed in Ohio state custody. But a judge Monday granted emergency jurisdiction to the Florida DCF, meaning the girl will remain in the state’s care at least until the next hearing, scheduled for Aug. 21.

Her parents were also given supervised visitation rights, but only at the discretion of their daughter. Arenas said she was unsure if the teen had met with her parents since the hearing.

“I don’t want to see my father,” the teen told WFTV.

Amy L. Edwards and Rene Stutzman, Staff Writers for the Orlando Sentinel newspaper (www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/breakingnews/orl-bk-ohio-teen-convert-custody-dispute-081009,0,4993216.story ) in a report to which Walter Pacheco contributed, said the girl, who turned 17 on Monday, is at the center of a custody dispute in Orlando, where she sought help from a family she barely knew — a pastor and his wife willing to take in a teen who feared her own family’s retribution because she converted to Christianity.

The Orlando Sentinel did not identify the teen because of her age.

The two reporters said she looked more like a timid child clinging to her protector than an Ohio teen runaway brazen enough to flee her Muslim family out of fear for her life.

The girl appeared before a crowded courtroom full of lawyers and spectators on Monday when an Orange Circuit Court Judge ordered her into Department of Children and Families emergency custody.

The newspaper said it was another in a series of legal decisions in a complicated case: Beyond the girl’s religious preferences, the court must solve jurisdictional issues related to child services and courts.

In addition, the teen, a native of Sri Lanka, is not a U.S. citizen, the newspaper stated.

The newspaper reported that her dispute with her family became news several weeks ago when the girl ran away from her home in Columbus, Ohio. She hitch-hiked to a Greyhound station and boarded a bus to Orlando.

Once there, she borrowed a cell phone to call Beverly Lorenz, who with husband Blake Lorenz is a pastor of Global Revolution Church in Orlando. The Lorenzes met the girl through a prayer group on Facebook.

The newspaper said that although the girl was a stranger, Beverly Lorenz told her they would house her. The teen told the Lorenzes she feared her family would hurt her, kill her or send her back to Sri Lanka, Beverly Lorenz said.

“We are doing everything we can to protect her,” said Blake Lorenz, who said he has been told his life may be in jeopardy.

Meanwhile, the girl’s parents reported to Ohio law enforcement authorities that their daughter was missing. They put together a flier, with her picture on it, asking for tips to her whereabouts, the newspaper said.

Beverly Lorenz said they called an abuse hotline, prompting a visit on Friday from the Orlando police. Officers picked up the girl to be placed in state custody.

The newspaper said the Lorenzes appeared in court with the teen Monday, as did her father from Ohio.

According to the newspaper report, when the petite girl walked into court, she immediately bolted for Beverly Lorenz, who held her. The teen then joined Blake Lorenz at a table with lawyers. He comforted her throughout the entire hearing with his arm around her shoulder.

Rosa Gonzalez, an attorney with the Alliance Defense Fund, told Orange Circuit Judge Gail A. Adams the teen is in fear for her life. The sight of her father makes the teen “frantic and hysterical,” Gonzalez said.

The newspaper said the teen’s father said little during the hearing.

Reached by an Orlando Sentinel reporter by phone, the girl’s mother said little. “Yes, of course” her daughter would be safe should a judge eventually order her back there, she said.

The woman also said the girl’s father would not harm his daughter if she wanted to be a Christian. She referred other questions to her husband. He did not answer his cell phone after the hearing.

Gonzalez said her organization, which sends pro bono lawyers to work on cases involving Christian issues, is concerned the teen could be returned to her parents, the newspaper reported.

“We don’t take those threats lightly,” she said.

Imam Hatim Hamidullah, with the Islamic Society of Central Florida, said the Muslim faith does not call for a father to hurt his child, should she convert to another religion.

“It is not Islam for the father to bring harm upon his blood daughter or any other human being because of anger,” he said. “Our position is to exhaust all measures that would bring peace and harmony back to the family,” Hamidullah said. “Being angry and threatening the life of someone is not one of those methods.”

A DCF spokeswoman said the agency is working with Ohio officials to ensure the teen’s “safety and well being.”

The newspaper said that attempts to talk to the teen after the hearing were unsuccessful — her legal guardians ushered her out of the building without letting her speak to a reporter.

On a babysitter Website, the girl described herself this way: “One of my favorite things to do in my spare time is cheerleading for my high school and of course tumbling as well. I have a little brother who is about to turn 5 years old. With this, I have had a lot of experience with toddlers and many years of sitting for him.”

Blake Lorenz, who retired after serving as pastor at Pine Castle United Methodist Church for several years, said the teen believes her dad will kill her.

“We are doing everything we can to protect her,” he said.

After Monday’s hearing, Blake Lorenz said he was relieved the teen is not returning back to her family in Ohio immediately, but he’s still cautious. He’s “very concerned that the system will let her down.”

Open Season on Christians in the Islamic World

For centuries, Muslims committed genocide against Hindus in India and what is now Pakistan. Today, in Sudan, Somalia, Nigeria, Kenya, Turkey, Pakistan, Gaza, and Iran, it’s open season on Christians.

Lubna Hussein, the Sudanese journalist who is facing 40 lashes for “indecency” because she wore trousers—has just been barred from leaving Sudan.
Interestingly, Hussein is a Christian, not a Muslim; she is also a former UN worker. (For the sake of this lawsuit, she immediately quit her UN job which would have provided her with immunity from such prosecution). The Sudanese Islamist authorities are not allowing her to do an interview in Lebanon. Sarkozy, who has called for a ban of the burqa in France, has invited Hussein to Paris. Please note: In Sudan, non-Muslim women are being punished if they do not dress according to Islamist standards.

All infidels, including the People of the Book (Jews and Christians) are an endangered species in Muslim countries. Always have been.

Musings on a Hot Summer Night in Manhattan

Yesterday in Khartoum, a world away, the Sudanese police beat the women who peacefully came to support Lubna Ahmed al-Hussein; they beat her lawyer too. Like their fellow Islamist thugs in Teheran, they blocked the cameramen so you cannot see their dirty work.

Yes, as one of my readers pointed out: The judge delayed Hussein’s trial possibly in the hope that someone would kill her, (she’s been threatened) and that no trial, no public flogging would be necessary.

There are no Marines coming over the next hill on this one.

There certainly are no Western feminists anywhere on the horizon.

Otherwise, the feminists all live (and die) in the Muslim world right now and their heroism is dazzling, mind-boggling.

Conservatives are Feminists, Liberals Are Misogynists

Over the weekend, Asma al-Ghul, a Palestinian woman journalist in Gaza was nearly arrested by Hamas policemen for “laughing in public” and for dressing “immodestly” at the beach. The police confiscated her passport. Subsequent death threats have kept her confined to her home. (Hat tip to Jeffrey Imm of Real Courage).

If Hamas has its way, the women of Gaza will soon be wearing burqas or the Iranian version of them. My question: If Asma immigrates to America, will she be free of such policing? Who will best safeguard her personal rights in America?

Some of my best friends are, or certainly were, liberals. As long as they are not still afflicted with Bush Derangement or Let’s-All-Pile-On Palin Syndrome, we have certain memories, friends, interests, and values in common.
