Dan Rather on why Conservatives don’t like McCain

Dan Rather was on Jay Leno tonight and was asked why Conservatives hate Mccain…

Jay Leno: Where does all this animosity come from?

Dan Rather: The straight answer to that is: I don’t know.

He goes on to say that he supposes its because he’s TOO independent and too much of a maverick, and that we didn’t like his campaign finance reform, and his changing position on taxes.

Really? You don’t know? This is the guy who still believes that his faux documents were not so faux. This is the guy who was a staple of the mainstream media for the past 20 years. And he doesn’t know?

This proves to me beyond a shadow of a doubt that Rush is Right: The Mainstream media doesn’t even BOTHER to listen to us.

Well, here is a message for you Dan - We don’t like Juan McAmnesty because he is a Democrat with an “R” next to his name. He has gone the wrong way on so many issues, burned too many bridges, and snubbed the base of his own party for so long that it is not surprising the situation we find ourselves in right now. His only reason that he’s even still in the race is that he appeals to the fence-sitters out there and (mark my words) if it comes down to Clinton or McCain, a great many of us will go with Hillary Clinton. (Myself included - In order to save the Village I had to burn it!) Picture his mirror on the Democrat side, Joseph Lieberman running for the Democrat nomination. They would be yelling the same things at him! He doesn’t line up with what the base considers their positions. Is that clear enough for you, Dan?
