From Partnership For Energy, or as the left would say, those evil @#%&*! oil companies who put gas in our evil @#%&*! cars so we can go to those evil @#%&*! jobs to work for some evil @#%&*! white man’s corporation to feed our evil @#%&*! kids…oh wait…I take that last part back.
But seriously folks.
While we are working hard to help stop damaging policies like the Waxman-Markey climate legislation from being enacted, we also need to push hard to encourage positive solutions, such as increased domestic energy exploration and production.
The federal Minerals Management Service (MMS) is now considering a new five-year leasing program that will greatly expand our nation’s access to the resource-rich Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). It is vital that the MMS hear strong support for moving forward with its plan to open 31 areas for oil and natural gas exploration. This plan will create thousands of new jobs, reduce our dependence on foreign fuel, and make our nation more energy secure.
The deadline to submit comments to MMS is September 21, so please communicate your support today. Click here to take action now!
When you write Congress and MMS, please emphasize the key reasons why it makes sense to develop energy resources on federal lands and offshore:
A recent study concluded that new development of energy resources in the OCS and on federal lands could generate $1.7 trillion in new public revenues A revitalized exploration and production program could add 160,000 jobs to our nation’s damaged economy.
Domestic production will reduce reliance on energy imports and strengthen our nation’s energy security.
Visit the Partnership for America’s Energy Security Action Center to send your letter today.
It’s vital that we add our voices to the public debate at this crucial time.
Your letter will help Congress understand that we need a balanced strategy for addressing our nation’s energy needs: Renewable energy, nuclear, coal, oil, and natural gas all must be part of planning a secure energy future for our nation.
Thank you for participating in this important action.

And now, Deputy Dog exposes those evil @#%&*! oil tycoons who put gas in our evil @#%&*! cars so we can go to work for those evil @#%&*!…well…you get it by now.

The Truth Behind Environmental Issues

As a result of my Cherokee heritage I try to practice living in harmony with Mother Earth. Some people could label me an environmentalist except they would be wrong. There is a difference between the views of most environmentalists and mine. The resources of Mother Earth are here to used “as needed” and Mother Earth must be respected. This does not mean we should ignore those resources or to preserve them at the expense of human life.
Man is a flawed creature. He will make errors, but he is also a thinking animal. If he makes a mistake and corrects it Mother Earth in her infinite wisdom and strength will forgive and correct his mistakes over time.
I find the philosophy of the Environmentalists to be reminiscent of those of the Luddites. For those of you not familiar with the Luddites the term is used to describe anyone opposed to technological progress and technological change. Read more
We can’t drill our way out of the problem?

Something I have heard from Obama, the other Dems, and even some Republicans is that we cannot solve our current energy problem with more drilling. And then I hear “Fancy” Nancy Pelosi -
Ms. Pelosi, a Democrat of California, in a letter to Mr. Bush noted that the Strategic Petroleum Reserve has been used three times before and each time the action has served to stabilize oil markets and lower gas prices. Action is needed ‘to assist consumers and strengthen the economy, Ms. Pelosi said…(Read more Here)
Uhm…OK. We can stablize the oil market and lower gas prices by adding oil from the Strategic Oil Reserve, but not by adding oil from a bunch of new wells? Does anyone else see the illogical hypocisy in this?
