Fun Facts Of The Day

To survive in hostile environments, cockroaches rely on their own vermin: Blattabacterium, a microbe that hitched a ride inside roaches 140 million years ago, and hasn’t left since.
Researchers who sequenced the Blattabacterium genome have found that it converts waste into molecules necessary for a roach to survive. Every cockroach is a testimony to the power of recycling — thanks to their microbes, they don’t even need to pee.

While this may make the cockroach the envy of beer drinkers the world over, surely this will not spare them from the bottom of our shoes moving in their direction at high velocity, nasty little bugs they are.

Surprisingly, a common fact about a different variety of cockroach, the DCius Democraticas Socialistus has gone unnoticed.  The DDS must spew raw feces from their mouths daily to survive.  Luckily, there is a lower form of cockroach, the North American Entitlement Serf, that finds the feces an irresistible treat and gobbles it up as quickly as its spewed.  Thus keeping our streets clean.

In the “Did he really say that,” category today, we have this incredible quote from The POTUS and his TOTUS:

I like that in you, but it’s time for us to make sure that we finish the job here, we are this close and we’ve got to be unified.

First of all, that’s a lousy Southern accent (Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs agrees). Secondly, is it just me, or does this sound like something plagiarized from one of any number of conservative blogs, then turned around to mean the opposite of its original meaning?

Democrats and Drug Dealers

 

 In law enforcement it was fairly easy to know when a new drug dealer entered an area. They all used the same business model. First step was cheap or free drugs, just enough to get the users addicted then the prices got jacked up and they claimed supply shortages to raise prices even more.

This is the Democrats when they create a new government give away program. Democrats require that voters be users and be totally dependent on them for the necessities of living. Democrats have in the past addicted the populace to free money now they want to Schedule one narcotics to the mix.

I pity the next President and Legislature for their first order of business will be tough love. They must turn off the government spigot of free. They must go after the programs that require no input from the users and abusers; they must secure our borders. They must go through all our Federal Laws and programs and either eliminate or simplify. This will cause a lot of gnashing of teeth in Washington because as the programs shrink, get simpler or entirely disappear, the number of employees required to run the programs will also shrink or disappear.

Few government employees will assist in the demise of their own jobs, yet in the past this has been the government way. They ask each department to rewrite the rules and make the budget cuts. This next time it should be the voters in volunteer committees that assist in the change.

Government over the years has slipped out of the people’s control. Government is now controlled by lawyers, lobbyists, special interest groups, minorities, corporations and politicians. Government has to return control to the people.

When I was growing up, we called this, ‘fun.’

Here’s a video of a family who drenched a bunch of kids who were standing on the side of the road asking to be drenched. The video ended up on YouTube, and now the driver is facing charges in the UK. When I was growing up, we called this “fun.” Now, it could you a fine of £2,500 (about $3,500) in England.

The View’s Whoopi Goldberg on Polanski ‘It Wasn’t RAPE-Rape’

Whoopi defends Roman Polanski’s raping of a 13 year old saying it “wasn’t rape rape.” Polanski was initially charged at age 44 with rape by use of drugs, perversion, sodomy, lewd and lascivious act upon a child under 14, and furnishing a controlled substance (methaqualone) to a minor. But according to Whoopi, it isn’t “rape, rape.”
